The Program
The Building Futures Scholarship is a joint program between the Alabama Community College System and the Alabama RC&D Councils. Fifty scholarships at $2,000 each cover tuition for aviation mechanics and construction trades programs at participating community colleges statewide. The first application cycle opens May 2026.
The Brief
The program needed a clean, credible launch page that could be shared with potential applicants, partner organizations, and press contacts before the application portal went live. It needed to clearly explain eligibility, award amounts, covered programs, and how to apply — without any CMS complexity behind it.
What We Built
A single-page HTML/CSS/JS site with a program overview, eligibility criteria, scholarship details, a timeline for the first application cycle, and a pre-registration email capture for applicants who want to be notified when the portal opens.
The design follows the same visual language as the ACCS EDD site — Fraunces for display type, monospace metadata, dark background with gold accents — establishing visual consistency across ACCS digital properties.
Current Status
The site is live and collecting interest signups. The first application cycle opens May 2026 for fall semester programs.
